Charleston defeated Northeastern 99-63. Reyne Smith went 3-7 from deep for 9 points, along with 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. The Tassie Sophomore is averaging 10.5 points per game for the Cougars, who sit equal first in the CAA at 13-2. Check the link to Charleston’s twitter to see how quick Reyne pulls the trigger.. kids take note, this is how fast you need to get your shot off to be successful at this level. It would be incredible to watch Reyne shooting some three point drills.. his stroke is smooth as butter.
Fellow CAA competitor Elon beat Hampton 70-68. Freshman Max Makinnon had a game high 18 points, with 5 boards, 1 assist and a steal. With 37 seconds remaining Elon was down by 1 and Max drilled a three to give them the lead. He iced two free throws with 6 seconds to play to make it 70-68. The Brissy Guard has grabbed the reigns of the Phoenix and single handedly dragged Elon to 5 wins in their last 6 games, after losing their first 8 straight CAA games. Max has averaged 16.6 points per game during this stretch. An incredible turnaround.

South Alabama beat Hartford 77-53. Marshall Kearing went 0-2 from the field and had 1 rebound in 8 minutes off the bench.
