Charleston won their 9th straight as they defeated North Greenville 96-67 and are now 10-1 for the year. Reyne Smith dropped 17points, shooting 5 from 13 from deep. He added 1 point and 1 assist.
UC Riverside hadn’t played for 11 days, since losing to CBU. They came into this game hungry and defeated Idaho 76-74 on a wild ending, with both teams scoring in the final 7 seconds. Lachlan Olbrich dominated with 18 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists, but fouled out with 2.40 to play. Will Tattersall had 8 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Kiwi Flynn Cameron had 4 points, 1 rebound and 4 assists. The pair trading assists to each other for three pointers to start the second half.
Utah State continued their undefeated run beating LMU 79-67, moving to 8-0. Sean Bairstow scored 14 points to go with 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the win. While for LMU, Keli Leaupepe had 9 points 6 rebounds and an assist. LMU drop to 8-4.
Rutgers lost the battle of New Jersey to Andrew Gaze’s former School Seton Hall, 45-43. There were was no score in the final minute and 54 seconds in this tough defensive battle. Mawot Mag scored 7 points and grabbed 3 rebounds in the loss.
Elon defeated Johnson and Wales NC 101-69. Max Mackinnon went off for 23 points on 10-13 from the field and 3-3 from behind the arc. Max added 7 rebounds and 3 assists and the Phoenix move to 2-8 on the year.
Incarnate Word lost to Kansas State 98-50. Adelaide’s Ben Griscti scored 6 points and grabbed 5 boards.
Hawaii beat St Francis PA 90-66. Harry Rouhliadef didn’t score and grabbed 2 boards.
